STOP STREET HARASSMENT!! STOP CAT CALLS!!

STOP STREET HARASSMENT!! STOP CAT CALLS!!

At last, it’s you who has to fight back…

It happens to atleast 90 percent women in their lifetime. It happens everywhere, everyday, anytime. Yes, I am talking of THE STREET HARASSMENT!! THE CAT CALLS!! The actions of one sexist man affect how female bystanders feel and behave towards men in general. Now one of the shittiest thing that we girls listen every now and then, when somebody misbehaves with us. Ahhh, You must have given him a sign…What clothes were you wearing? Damn! HOW DOES IT MATTER WHAT WAS ONE WEARING??? Even if we roam without clothes on the roads, we haven’t given you the right to touch us. If we say NO, it means NO..NOOO…NOOOOO..!! And a big NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO . . .

Remember, a girl is never responsible for the harassment, no matter at what time is she travelling, no matter what she is wearing, It doesn’t make a difference…. If she is responsible, that is not harassment!! May be clothes cause sexual harassment, or may be you are just a pervert. The cat call, The “hey baby,” the car honk, the low whistle, the kissy noise. They aren’t compliments. Women take them disgustingly. No Women would like to hear comments on her body, No Women likes being called baby by any pervert, No Women likes to be whistled at on streets, She is not a dog… NO Women, believe me…No Women..!! But all these are an inevitable part of urban living for women, and are responsible for blowing away the confidence that women carry with themselves, while leaving from home. Not that women are the weaker sex, no they are not. But there are people (including women themself) who think women are weak and not equal to men. Now weak and not equal are also two different things. Women are considered weak, that is one of the reason why they aren’t considered equal to men. But women are not considered equal to men, that is no reason for calling them weak. We women are stronger than men, be it emotionally, mentally or physically. We can not only make a house, home, but can also manage to handle our complete family on our own. Besides this, we can handle office, cause ”WE DON’T CONSIDER OURSELF TO HANDLE JUST THE CHULHA-CHAUKA, AND FOLLOW THE ORDERS OF OUR PATI-DEV”. Noone needs to give the proof of a girl’s physical capacity. And even the girls should realise it. They face acute pain during the PMS cycles every month and even then they are called weak. I think its a myth. And if you talk of giving birth to a baby, it induces an enormous level of pain which can be compared to breaking of several bones of a human body. According to me, its the time to revive. Now I don’t understand what makes people (specially women themself) think that women are the weaker sex. I mean Come On. .Alright, all the women reading this right know, answer this. ‘DO YOU THINK WE ARE WEAK’? ‘DO YOU THINK WE ARE NOT EQUAL TO MEN’? ‘DO YOU THINK WE ARE JUST MEANT TO SIT AT OUR HOME, AND SERVE OUR HUSBANDS’? If your answer is YES . .then i must say You are one of the person in our male dominating society, who is responsible for influencing males to rule us, to control us. And yes, with this I mean that I and several other women who are fighting to get their rights and prove that, Yes we are equal to men, don’t like you, the same way, we don’t like dominant men. Why do you expect us to wear fully covered clothes? I mean what makes your filthy mind even have a thought like this. ‘ITS OUR LIFE, OUR CLOTHES, OUR BODY’. It’s just a DRESS, not a YES. If you don’t like the way we dress, get your eyes off us. Our dress has nothing to do with ‘Our will to get raped’. For heaven’s sake, stop blaming us, and if you really want to bring a change, bring that in your mentality. . . And Men, make this clear,we like compliments, but not from the perverts on roads, not from sick men in pubs who don’t respect women. We don’t take Cat calls as compliments, we don’t dress to express our so cald will to get raped. And if you are really desperate and nymphomaniac, go hire a sex worker who can fulfill your needs, but remember only if she says, ”YES”
